On today’s show, I address the NFL’s proposed Rooney Rule change, which involves gifting teams with monetary compensation or a higher third-round draft slot for interviewing a minority head coaching/front office candidate. This proposal, although well-intentioned, is not going to solve the problem at hand, nor truly benefits both minority candidates and owners. Later in the show, I caught up with Christina Kahrl, Senior MLB Editor at ESPN and BBWAA member. We discussed the MLB’s pace of play initiatives set to take place in 2020, her Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, the Astros’ cheating scandal, plus her amazing career in sports media!
